“I love helping women because Chinese medicine improves their lives in so many ways it’s impossible to imagine until it happens.”–Alicia Loomis, L.Ac.

Alicia Loomis, MaOM, LAc, is a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, licensed acupuncturist, certified herbalist, and a Preferred Provider of Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture. As Healing InSight’s anti-aging expert, she uses a range of cosmetic acupuncture, herbal skin products and facial diagnosis to help women of all ages look and feel their best. She also uses her passion for women’s health to treat a variety of health conditions that include menopause, irregular period, PMS and infertility treatment to achieve optimal wellness for her patients. Her experience extends to treatments for cosmetic acupuncture, stress, cancer, fatigue, insomnia, and much more.

“Chinese medicine is so much more comprehensive than Western medicine when it comes to women’s health and anti-aging. Chinese medicine is more holistic and treatment depends on how a woman feels, how she’s sleeping and eating, whether she gets exercise and has loving relationships. It goes so far beyond just hormones and skin care!”

Alicia is licensed in acupuncture by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice and is a nationally board-certified herbalist. She has extensive post-graduate training in anti-aging and Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture. She holds a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (including both Chinese Herbology and Acupuncture) from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University.

Alicia has worked with patients at the University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital, Pathways, and the Salvation Army. “What I love the most about Chinese medicine is that it can help each of my patients, no matter what they’re facing.” At the University of MN – Fairview Hospital, Alicia provided treatments to patients in the areas of oncology, general surgery, and organ transplants. At Pathways, a health crisis and resource center, Alicia provided treatments to those facing chronic and/or life threatening illness. At the Salvation Army Alicia saw many conditions including pain, stress, and fatigue.

Other than Chinese Medicine, Alicia loves the outdoors and in her free time she can be found gardening, hiking, traveling, and relaxing with her family at the cabin.
